Inspired by Sci-Fi subgenres such as Cyberpunk, Axel lives in a colder futuristic environment, creating an atmosphere that I have decided to call “Polar Punk.” Axel is very curious, expressive, and loves to seek out action and adventure. To support his active nature while also accommodating the cold temperatures, I tried to give Axel a functional yet flexible primary outfit, allowing him to move however he wants to. All assets were sketched and colored in Clip Studio Paint.

With a general inspiration in mind, I sketched up clothing options until a direction I was going in felt closest to what I had in mind, and expanded upon the character after.
Flora and "Grandpa" are characters designed for a sci-fi student film. They were both designed to be made into a 2D rigged character in ToonBoom Harmony Premium. To figure out more about their characters, I sketched rough ideas based on the personality description I was given, and expanded upon what seems to work best . Flora is a lively, curious young girl who wants nothing more than to simply spend time with her grandfather, while Grandpa is a curious, almost "mad scientist," who is incredibly dedicated to his work. All digital assets for both characters were drawn and colored in Clip Studio Paint and Adobe Photoshop.
